And now the feeling sinks in... I haven't really been given a chance to think about our departure again these past few weeks coz we were so busy with all the preparations but now as the date gets near the feeling of sadness prevail over the feeling of excitement. I hate to say goodbye... I will surely miss everyone here. My mom, dad, brothers, niece, my best friends, relatives, friends and everything about the life that i have here i will miss. I'm not much of a future thinker. I'm more of a live-the-day-as-it-comes kind of person. I know the grass is greener where we are about to go and I know that is what the Lord has planned for us... but ... it sucks that i can't bring everyone else with me... at least not yet...

Actually what breaks my heart most is leaving my family, most especially my mom. Looking back when I was younger I realized I used to take my family for granted. But as I left home 4 years ago I have learned, mostly from my hubby, the importance of family. I have come to appreciate my mom more since then. We have been sort of buddies than mother and daughter. And now that I am leaving I am saddened by the thought of not being able to spend time with her anymore. Yes I know that every year she will fly to visit me until they can get their visa to live with us but that would be quite a number of years still...

I know this goodbye is just temporary and we'll see each other again soon... but just the same I hate saying goodbye...

Gosh been so long since I last updated... been sooo busy recently especially now that our departure is getting near.

We already bought our tickets yesterday! Yey! Sept 23 it is then, no turning back now! :P

Oh and by the way got good news! Out of 6, 2 employers have expressed their interest in my application already! :D The other one even invited me for an interview on Thursday! Ngaks! I said I can't make it coding ako :P hehehe But it's good to know that there are a lot of opportunities out there AND with good compensation package! We were quite worried at first that we might have a hard time getting jobs there... well doesn't seem like it I HOPE! :D

Been busy here in the office too... finishing all my projects... but that's alright I've got 8 more days to go then I'm FREE!!! whoopee!!

Also started with packing already. We're not bringing much just some of our clothes and the PC and MAC. So basically everything that's left is for sale. I've also started sorting out our clothes already. A lot goes to the garage sale bin (ukay-ukay) :P We're only bringing the relatively new ones. Plus we've also started to shop for new clothes :D Now that's the fun part!

The Land Down Under!

At last it has arrived! After 2 long years the wait is finally over! Sydney, here we come!! :D

And now there's not much time for packing!! Arrghh! We're booked to leave on the 23rd of September. Joms and I have already tendered our resignation to our respective companies early this week. Actually our initial entry should not be later than Feb '06 but we're leaving early just the same before things get nasty in YOUR poor government. :)

But although our dreams did come true I can't help but feel sad about leaving. I mean I've lived here all my life... All my loved ones are here. And most especially I hate to leave my family :( I will surely miss them. Although the plan is to get them after a few years but still... I've never been away from them for more than a couple of kilometers... sigh...

But I know... there are more things to look forward to. For us, LIFE BEGINS AT SYDNEY :) Start of a new life... new jobs... new environment... new cuture... new house... and holding on to a promise of a brighter future for the family we are about to build there :) So Sydney here we come, mate!

My baby Paris is up for adoption :( After 5 months of smuggling him in and out of the Condo, the Admin finally caught us red handed. How? Last Monday an Admin person knocked at our door to deliver a letter... we weren't there so Paris had to answer the door for us! Ayun huli! SHET! Now we have to let him go :(

Eh kung yung pera ko na pinapangbabayad sa tax sa kin na lang napunta, eh di sana nakakapanood pa ko ng sine at least 2 beses sa isang buwan. Nakabili na sana ako ng bagong rubber shoes. Nakapagpagawa na sana ako ng sarili kong bahay.

Yung tax na binabayad ko, karamihan nun derecho sa bulsa ng mga corrupt na mga government officials at workers. Habang hirap na hirap akong i-budget ang pera ko, sila naman nagpapakasarap sa mga mansyon. SUV's at luxury cars pa ang dina-drive nila, samantalang ako sa pedicab lang sumasakay!

If only the rally wasn't held here in Ayala, just a couple of buildings away from my office I wouldn't give a sh*t about all these. I'm not affected by this so called cheating issue.. I'm just infuriated by the traffic jam caused by this non-sense rally last Friday.

Here's my two cents...

For me the real issue is not actually on the act of cheating itself... the opposition's furious because PGMA was a better cheater than their candidate. Of course everyone cheats during elections. It's a given. So please let's not pretend we've got clean hands.. ok??

Second, if PGMA were to resign who's gonna replace her?? Oh, please don't tell me... Is this yet again a "I felt my husband's spirit and felt like I should be President on his behalf" bulls**t. Not another Cory Aquino PUHLEEZ!! And yes this time it's worse! Susan Roces?? Haller!! This is getting sicker by the minute!

Third, please let's not pretend we have the Filipino's best interest at heart. Y'all just wanna be on the throne for only one reason - POWER. Let's face it our country's on it's lowest of the low. And even if it were Bush who led us it would take ages for him to bring us back on track. Let's please keep it real for crying out loud!

Finally, sometimes I wonder... are we ever going to let our elected President ever finish his/her term ever?

Eversince I started to play Badminton last week there's no stopping me anymore. I played every single day except last Tuesday 'coz I had to buy more outfits 'coz i'm running out of skirts to wear already and hubby got me a new pair of Rubbershoes 'coz he remembered I was complaining that my Sketchers were really hurting my feet! Silly! Of course it would! It's not supposed to be worn for sports 'coz it's actually a porma rubbershoes not a sports rubbershoes. So he got me an Adidas Torrent. Yes it's not actualy for badminton. It's for tennis actually... again hehehe :D

Anyhow, yesterday we were really BITIN! We were so late in reserving for a slot that the only available time we got was at 6pm at the Zone! Imagine 6pm! Of course I can't leave the office before six so I left at exactly 6pm but then it was so traffic at Dela Costa that we arrived there at 6:20. We still had to change and do our warm-ups so we only got started on the court at 6:30. The funny thing was, the guys that were scheduled on our court for 7pm were already there warming up!

Tonight we'll play doubles again! :D Me and hubby against Jen and Ryan. Hope we score this time :P Unlike last sunday where our score was 15-1. But that's ok, it was Jom's first time to play so we have an excuse :P

Can't wait to smash 'em!!!

In my endless search for the best way to lose weight I finally trew in the towel and gave in to a game of Badminton. And much to my surprise I actually enjoyed it! At first I thought it would be boring and easy and I wouldn't even sweat one drop but after an hour of play it was quite fun! And now I'm sort of in to it already... I bought a racquet, a badminton bag, and the most essential must-have I bought an OUTFIT! =) I got a pair of Fila tennis outfit with those little inverted pockets for the tennis ball =) Ok, I know it's for tennis and I'm playing badminton but who the hell cares? I look GOOD in it anyway =) And now I can't wait til tomorrow to wear it! ...and to play! =P

Oh and yeah... the Pistons lost... CRAP! I was so looking forward to seeing them win again =( I even came in late for work just to watch them win!! And now I'm such a sour loser I don't even wanna pay Donald our bet! =P Why did they have to lose?!? Everything was going on perfectly! They had the lead during the 1st 3 quarters! It was Sheed! Why did he have to accumulate 4 FOULS just early in the 3rd quarter?! I was counting on him to score and not sit on the bench half the time! Why oh why!?! =((

I just read through my testimonials again and noticed that most of my dear friends said that I am "high maintenance"... hmmm... I beg to disagree! Right hon? Let me see... to prove that I shall list down the things that I bought/hubby bought for me this first semester of 2k5. And you judge if indeed I am what they accuse me to be...

January - One Sunday afteroon hubby and I were strolling down the mall when I noticed this uber cute Shih Tzu puppy staring at me from behind the glass windows of Bio Research. He looked so cute and so cuddly that we instantly made a connection. He is now 7 months old and his name is Paris :)

February - My brother called me in the office and sold me a brand new iPod mini for only 12K! Now that was a bargain! Who knows one day I might get trapped in an island, my iPod would come in handy then!

March - Can't remember buying something big last March. Maybe just a shirt or 2 or a bag or 2 or a pair of shoes or 2... who knows.. who's counting...

April - OK since this was my Birthday month I had every excuse to splurge! First I bought a Nike Presto watch (in white of course to suite my iPod :) ) with the shopping money my mom has given me; then my Tita Christy bought me a Lacoste, Touch of Pink Perfume (good thing cause I'm almost out already); now here's the best part... just when i thought my hubby's not getting me any gift for my birthday coz a day has gone by already and he hasn't given me a gift yet he more than made up for it when he surprised me with a Mac Mini!!! That was the greatest gift ever. And not just that. The next day he bought me a 17" LCD monitor and a Wacom tablet! Isn't that just sweet?? Love yah hon! Oh I forgot I also bought a table and a bean bag as my workstation :)

May - Ok nothing major for this month... hubby said I've had enough already the previous month... it's ok... I can wait til the next month :)

June - and now this month, well just this afternoon hubby bought me a Mac Keyboard for my Mac Mini. Why just got my keyboard now? Well because it was out of stock since last April on every f**kin Apple Center that's why! Oh and also last week hubby got me a uber cool Adidas jacket (Olympic edition - Espania).

See! That wasn't so bad.. It wasn't as if i was OVER SPENDING... right? I wonder when I can buy a new phone... am eyeing for an XDA IIs or XDA II mini :D

Now i shall be among the ones who cannot keep their own private lives, well... private. I shall write about things that's running through my mind and bore you to death about my own daily rants and raves and things that normally don't interest anyone... and so it begins...

Well as expected this turned out to be a f**kin' crazy day 'coz it didn't start right... that stupid team, Detroit didn't win the first game of the NBA Finals. Yes I am greatly affected... Why? Because they should win the series 'coz Donald and I had a bet of 1K and I don't wanna lose no 1K. I can already buy a tee or better yet a bag with that.

And now, before ending the day hubby and i had a row... now THAT is private so I won't go into details.
